GREETINGS

I'm Joe McGranaghan- actor, writer, director, educator, reader of non-electronic books. And you, lucky visitor, have arrived at my website. Perhaps you're here on purpose (great!), maybe you were interested in a different McGranaghan (ok), or maybe you're here completely by accident (wait, we can still be buds... oh, ok, see ya). This is a website that I built largely without the help of A.I., so rest assured that anything that is made up was made up by me, a  reliably self-aggrandizing human. Have a look around, fellow human, and then do something bold: reach out to connect!

ENRON STAGE II 1080 X 1080 A.jpg

Quantum Theatre

Enron

Not sure where to begin. This project was a highlight of my career. Every element came together: a terrific play, a director with vision, brilliant designers, a collaboration with incredible dancers, and the greatest ensemble of performers one could hope to work with. It took sweat, tears and even a drop or two of blood, but we made something to be proud of.

Forge Us Teeth of Metal

Thrilled to finally have the chance to work with Molly and Rusty at TealTime Arts. This was a very special reading/ fundraiser for an exciting new piece coming next year which will highlight how U.S. and Ukrainian veterans are processing the emotional toll of war in the 21st century.

A Sherlock Carol

A loving and well-done mash up of Dickens' A Christmas Carol with a lesser known Sherlock Holme's mystery. Back by poplar demand after a sold out run in 2024, this year we mounted to show in the cozy confines of Carnegie Stages.

Art of Wise

Loved getting to help develop the latest installment of Mark Clayton Southers' 19th Century cycle of plays. Thanks to Monteze Freeland and Mark for letting me originate the role of Jonathan Wise.

Trouble in Mind

This was an incredible production of a criminally overlooked play. Bravo to Justin Emeka, the unparalleled cast and devoted crew.
